We welc...Thanks for reading and commenting on SEO! We welcome your participation. I’m not sure if perhaps we are comparing apples to oranges, but if we are talking about the creation of positions, unless I’m misunderstanding either the speaker or your comment, I apologize if I’m not on the same page – BUT – I’ll post the salary ordinances for the city from 2003 – 2009. Notice there was no position of assistant in the police or fire departments until the 2005 salary ordinance shows up. Interestingly, those positions, along with many others were created shortly after the voters approved a tax increase. Feel free to jump back in if I’m mistaken. I’ll put the ordinances on this post for everyone’s review. Thanks again for reading SEO. What the resident was slightly misinformed on was that even though promotions took place it was to fill a void left by retirement not an addition. Also at the same time the city has already lost 5 firefighters do to attrition through retirement and those positions have not been filled. After growing up in South Euclid and calling it home for 18 years, it is sad to see Police, Fire and EMS cut when we all know that it is the last thing the city needs to lose.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
