A wake up call to South Euclid leadership…
As most know by now, the council and mayor passed the “point of sale” legislation last year, angering residents. A petition was circulated getting the referendum on the ballot. Yesterday, citizens of South Euclid voted no on 106 at an almost two to one ratio.
It is time for city council and the mayor to wake up and pay attention to the tax payers that keep them employed.
Know that when you do things such as begin construction on the “Playground of Possibilities” while being $80,000 short or telling residents that their streets won’t be salted while purchasing a Harley Davidson for the police department, we will be watching.
Next up for us residents is to oust any or all of the seven coucilpersons that bring this stupid idea, in its same form, up again. Hopefully they have now finally learned that this is representative government and the POS idea did not represent the residents.
This is an excellent start. Next, out with the councilmen swilling at the trough. Jane Goodman should walk the plank first.
Hooray, hooray, the people have spoken loud and clear"NO P.O.S." The previous authors are absolutely correct. This was a "stupid" idea, and we will be watching our councilmen for any more insane, reprehensible, schemes to pick our wallets clean. These councilpeople are out of control.I want to thank all my fellow citizens for voting this issue down.I'm sure most of us would rather be spending our time taking care of our lives rather than having to watch over our city council. The fear of our elected representatives robbing us blind like a "thief in the night"is unacceptable. My fellow citizens, you have given me hope, and some peace of mind.I will sleep easier knowing that there are others like myself out there.Willing to make the time, and put forth the effort to protect our rights.
God bless us all.
Get real, Jane Goodman is awesome and does great things for this community.
Fiorelli ran as a Democrat and didn't feel the need to tell people he only changed his party affiliation to try to increase his changes of getting elected, translation, he is a Republican.
