City Hall wielded eminent domain like a weapon to strong-arm the sale of the Cedar Center properties.

Who's next? Will hostile acquisitions attract prospective business to the city in the future, or will it make them leery of setting up shop in a potentially unwelcoming location?

Resolution 47-07

Resolution 47-07: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement for the purchase of property within the City of South Euclid, known as Permanent Parcel No. 702-23-037 & 702-23-038 and appropriating unappropriated funds in the Land Acquisition Fund in an amount not to exceed $32,400.00; and declaring an emergency. --According to the Cuyahoga County Auditor, the current market value for the tax year 2006 for these properties on Telhurst Road are $200.00 each parcel, for a combined total of $400.00.
