The Sun Messenger staff takes off the gloves and gives Georgine Welo a long overdue proverbial “trip to the woodshed” due to the revival of the joint city recreation center idea.
Could this be the beginning of the end of the perpetual cheerleading? Is it possible that the conclusion of the era of the local paper “looking the other way” is upon us? No free lunch? How about no more free pass for city officials in South Euclid? We’ll see. If so, it’s about time.

This is so wrong,on so many levels.
Where would you like to start the reasons why? I am so weary,so fatigued trying to explain to others why our city leaders have abused, and over reached the power and responsibilities of their office. They have completly lost the basic functions and responsibilities that the people have elected them to oversee.
To serve the citizens,to maintain
city services,to promote private investment in our city. They were not elected to become realestate developers, investors, speculators,
social, racial, religious manipulators, and definately not urban red light nazis armed with voyeuristic cameras to exploit and
control(tax)the very citizens that
unfortunately elected them!
I am tired.High schools have gyms and sports facilities,so do colleges,we have playgrounds(you bet we do,possibilities, and those aren't paid for)we have fitness clubs,we have walking, jogging,
bridle paths in the metroparks,we have sidewalks, etc.
What we don't have is people that
have any idea that government should, and does, have limitations to the extent of their involvement and control of our lives. And people that seem to think that governments purpose is to redistribute the wealth of the community to provide them with a lifestyle they have neither earned nor deserve.
