To edit a “letter to the editor” for space is one thing, but to actually change the words of a statement read into the council records and reprinted in Sun is deceitful. I am sure it was City council that made the edits. Edits or no edits the letter still makes no sense.
The assassin and the slanderer differ only in the weapon they use; with the one it is the dagger, with the other the tongue. The latter is worse than the former, for the first only kills the body, while the other murders the reputation.
