Vanishing Integrity

The Sun Messenger version of the letter to the editor below seemed rather watered down compared to the monologue given to a room packed with publicly paid employees of City Hall. It seems odd that the local paper didn’t report on such a claim of discrimination. The Raise Revisited...And More

Somehow the suggestion of gender based discrimination vanished by the time it was presented to the general public in print version. See article below.

Who didn’t reveal all of the details?

To edit a “letter to the editor” for space is one thing, but to actually change the words of a statement read into the council records and reprinted in Sun is deceitful. I am sure it was City council that made the edits. Edits or no edits the letter still makes no sense.

The assassin and the slanderer differ only in the weapon they use; with the one it is the dagger, with the other the tongue. The latter is worse than the former, for the first only kills the body, while the other murders the reputation.
