As stated in the Sun Messenger they went back to the "drawing board" because some residents took the initiative to to NOT have it rammed down their throats as it was initially written. The current administration and friends needs to be watched very closely. In general the residents best interest will be served by their direct participation and oversight not by their elected council. If the city want to go in and make sure the utilities are properly turned off then have the fire dept. handle it at no charge for crying out load. Owner approval would be sought first and asked to show in lieu of uninvited entry. If after one year nothing changes then start up the yearly house-sitting fee of XXX dollars. But Nooooooooo, they gotta turn it into a federal case and squeeeeze people even more then they already do. Give 'em an inch..., ehh?
