While attempting to perpetrate this revenue generating legislation on the taxpayers, city officials have conveniently neglected to include the full text of Ordinance 65-05 from all forms of communication with the public. This includes the "Update" newsletter and the city website. Chapter 14 of the online Codified Ordinances has not been updated to include Section 1413 as of this date.
A resident brings his valid objections and logical concerns about "Point-of-Sale" to City Hall. His straightforward and accurate criticism was not well received.

All I can say is "WOW".This citizen is dead nuts on target. We are expected to pay the city for an "inspection",that does absolutely nothing, nada, for either seller,or buyer.
It's a damn shame that we have to spend our personal time watching, and dogging our elected officials because if we don't they will screw us out of every dollar they can.I'm sick and tired of these pocket picking thiefs coming up with these schemes to fleece us.
Enough already.
I will vote no on every program they devise, every levy, every issue on the ballot.I will vote out every incumbent until we have responsible officials in office.
RIGHT ON!
But the second part to this is to organize The Unified Challenger Front of 2009 to emphasis a "we" vs. "them" situation. Voter support would have to be won. Our platform would have to be based on some very simple premises focused on local government providing short-term and long-term value. The Front might have a better chance then 1 or 2 true reformers trying to join their club. This could set up the showdown for a mayoral alternative in 2 more years. Ben Franklin said it best, "United we stand - divided we fall". It's just a shame that many local officials are strongly united mainly for their paychecks since it's the best gig they'll ever have...and the majority of them know it. Truly a difficult task lay ahead for the residents of South Euclid and other fiefdoms in Cuyahoga County if fiscal responsibility is to be restored. As a whole they make too much and do to little to warrant staying the course.
I could go for an opposition slate in 2009 and beyond.
