The Sun Messenger article brings many interesting aspects to light, but offers more omissions and contradictions coming from City Hall:
- How much canvassing did Welo do in the fall of 2007? She ran unopposed.
- One very important omission about the required escrow account is – a minimum amount of $1000.00 must be deposited regardless of the amount of the repair.

I guess I'm really not surprised at what comes out of our elected representatives mouths anymore.Why not punish people who decide to leave our community?Sure,why not.Maybe we should begin punishing them as soon as these ingrates put a "FOR SALE" in the front yard.Maybe we should block their paths as they try to leave.Are you kidding me?
Unbelieveable!This is how our Mayor justifies this proposal?Please,tell me this woman,our Mayor,is not this ignorant.This proposal,home inspections,couldn't be more obvious that it is nothing more than another feeble,inept at best,flim-flam scam to seperate us from our money,to fill the city coffers,and she doesn't even know what the money will be spent on.Welo says"maybe we will use it to hire another inspector"..maybe...another inspector to do what?The ones we have now obviously aren't doing the job,otherwise the City wouldn't have had to spend millions to purchase "blighted homes".Where were the inspectors while that property was allowed to fall into such disrepair that it had to be demolished?Please,tell me.Tell me Moe,tell me Welo.Tell me again how this is supposed to benefit me.Tell me why our current system of home inspections is failing so miserably.Is it because we citizens don't pay enough taxes?We already approved a City tax increase back a year or so ago.Or is it really the poor management,lack of leadership,the ignorance, that is exhibited by all of our elected officials????
Tell me.Tell us,the truth.We can handle it.Does the city need more money?Tell us what for.You guys want a pay increase?Tell us.You want more police,more firemen,more city equipment? Tell us.We are pretty reasonable people.Don't feed us this crap,point of sale inspections.If there is a real need,justifiable,I'm sure the community would support your needs.
Don't try to treat us like a herd of ignorant milk cows.We are,and hopefully you are,better than that.
Stand up,be honest,forget all the fakery,lies,and deceptions.We have had enough of that.
