Just say "NO" to Point-of-Sale Inspections!!
City officials are proposing that this pre-sale inspection be imposed on home owners at a cost of approximately $175.00 before the house can be sold. One member of City Council supports this action by saying, "These inspections would be the same type of exterior inspections we already require, no more and no less."-- Then why should anyone have to pay $175.00 for such an inspection if it already occurs as a matter of routine? Why don't city officials want the issue on a ballot so the citizens can vote on it?

For reasons known only to the Mayor she seems overly eager to buy every piece of real estate possible in the city. Hasn't she ever heard of private development? I've worked hard to pay off my mortgage and she's mortgaged out purchases of 10 run-down properties near Quarry Park, and the entire part of Cedar Center south of Cedar Rd. The taxes to pay for these boondoggles will be my new mortgage! Also, she seems to want to be eager to unleash eminent domain on property owners. Don't forget that was thrown out on it's ear by Lakewood voters and homeowners. The Kelo case she celebrates was not a fine piece of judicial thinking. It has been highly and justly criticized.
