Did the Chief consult anybody before making such a big financial decision, cause it doesn't make sense?
People wake up! Politicians and their appointees are misspending everybody's money!!!This council has no expertise but they do as they please. And if everyone is relying on Joe F. then he has too much sway. What about other acct professional's opinions? Does the city ever seek 2nd opinions.

Yeah,$230,000.00 sure does sound like a lot of money.C'mon, look at how much it costs to remodel your kitchen,or bathroom.Talk 'bout sticker shock!
What I would really like to know is,this range is funded by tax dollars,(and rent money)...how about letting the public have access to this range? The police can schedule certain hours that qualified citizens can use the range.Heck, the police could even set up training classes and charge a fee for training classes in gun safety. Is that reasonable?
And just who should the Chief of Police consult with on what the needs of the police are?Who knows better than the Chief where the money should be spent.Isn't that his job? Isn't the Chief like the ceo,or president of a company?
Managing the budget of the police dept is his job.And within reason,I suggest that whatever we can give these men and women, and our firefighters, paramedics, the "thin blue line" that stands between us and the godless, murdering, thieving, drunken, violent, antisocial, sociopathic animals that are all around us,preying on the weak, elderly, and innocent.
(read the police blotter in the sun)
We can't spend enough money on these men and women, who put their lives, their lives,on the line everyday. For us.
Sure as hell can't say that about the mayor, council members, and all their moronic appointees.
Christ Almighty, these fools wanted to give the frickin' head bingo game scheduler a $30,000 raise.
The police are getting $100,000
stimulus money.Yes,tax money,federal tax money.Our money.
a once in a lifetime "free" money. If you will.
Please, give the Chief some credit.Let him budget it,spend it as he sees fit.
We alredy know that 98%,too low,
maybe more like 99.999999% of our elected officials are a bunch of backroom dealing, lying, cheating, robbing us blind, and laughing at us all the way to the bank, and their beautifull landscaped, swimming pool adorned, marble countertopped homes.Paid for with bribes, payoffs, and our faith and trust.
Please don't throw our police Chief in with the scumbag politicians.Unless you know something about our police that would proove there is corruption in their ranks.
Again, how 'bout public access to the new, improved, remodeled firing range? Give it some thought Chief, and council(sorry fer' ripping on you guys,c'mon, you gotta have thick skin to be in politics,'specially when ya' gotta associate with the likes of Russo,Dimorra, you know, hey how 'bout Jimmy Traficant, just got out'da greybar motel....yeah...)
Pick, pick, pick,,,,,It's become an almost fatal disease with all of us who really do care, and watch where our tax $'s go,and who is spending them.we can get so carried away.We accuse everyone, and anyone who has access to our tax $'s of being negligent, wastefull, corrupt. And rightly so it seems what with all the corruption.Who can blame us for being skeptical?
I say support the police.I also say,why can't the cops drive small zippy, fuel efficient cars like the cops in the U.K.and Europe do?Don't give me that crap "we need bigass Crown Vics to chase the bad guys"....pullease....my old '93 Ford Escort GT did well over 110 MPH.Just take my word.I would never break the law,or take a bribe,or,well,be like a politician,,,baaaaaahaaa
Besides, with the new firing range, our city's finest will all be superior marksmen, and there ain't no car, motorcycle, boat, roller blades,or fancy Keds that can outrun a bullet.
You go Chief.....
