December 17, 2010: Highland Heights, Ohio -
Note the license plates do not identify this
as being a "city" service department vehicle.

June 16, 2011
Curious residents wondered why city trucks were involved
while concrete was being poured on private property
at the Service Director's house. Turns out he was
on vacation and the city pickup truck was left in his
driveway rather than being utilitzed to service
the taxpayers.

It is unknown why another city vehicle,
and the vehicle's driver,
was spotted at that location
during the concrete pour.

Job's done.

This vehicle has now been inherited by
the new Service Director.

Here are some links to
Plain Dealer coverage
 of Cuyahoga County Executive
Ed Fitzgerald's new policies regarding
personal use of county vehicles.
According to one article,
there are 11 Cuyahoga County
employees who receive the benefit of
a take-home car, but they are not
supposed to utilize the car
for personal reasons.
It is believed that there are
 currently privileged employees
 in South Euclid who receive
 a take-home vehicle.
Some of those vehicles have no
 identifying municipal stickers
or signage.
The license plates
 do not include
 the word “City.”
